Ruth Bedell, Ph.D.

Dr. Ruth Bedell is an Ivy League-educated professional who earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling, with a focus on community counseling, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational (I/0) Psychology from Keiser University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Her doctoral research explored the relationship between emotional intelligence and workplace bullying.

  • An award-winning professional whose combined professional and volunteer experience spans 30+ years across the non-profit, association, community, legal, political, civic engagement, academic and religious sectors. Of these, over 20 years represent professional experience, including 10 years with an international hunger relief and self-help development organization; seven years with an association and a non-profit in the funeral and deathcare profession; and more than three years in the academic and religious sectors.

  • National speaker and workshop facilitator, delivering tailored training sessions to organizations of all sizes.

  • Leader, teacher, and collaborative team player delivering value through productivity, strong work ethic, professional experience and integrity, effective communication, and adaptability across diverse environments.

  • An I/O psychology research scientist conducting Institutional Review Board-approved research studies on emotional intelligence, workplace bullying, and other counterproductive workplace behaviors.

Dr. Ruth is a strong advocate for continuing education and training. She has earned professional development certificates from:

  • the Florida Society of Association Executives as a Qualified Association Specialist (QAS).
